This is an ‘old fashioned’ red with very strong 'animal' qualities. Medium body, crimson mauve colour. Very strong aroma of earth, ‘farmyard’ and leather. The palate fruit flavours are swamped by the strong farmyard flavours which over power the wine. Soft tannins, warm, spicy back palate, followed by a long farmyard and leather aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
