1999 Beckett's Flat Reserve Merlot

A young wine which is slightly out of balance. Medium bodied bright, crimson mauve colour. Aroma of fresh mulberry, new cedar and leather with a hint of confectionery and spicy oak. On the palate, mulberry cedar flavour - the fruit flavours are a touch light, with very firm tannin grip which runs right through onto the aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
