1999 Batista Estate Pinot Noir

A well made soft red, but without Pinot character. Medium body, crimson brick red colour. The nose displays smoky aromas followed by cherry, spice and a hint of stewed fruit. The palate has weight, but lacks complexity – flavours of stewed fruits persist. Fine grained tannins. Soft acid finish.
