1999 Barossa Valley Estate E&E Sparkling Shiraz

The E&E range emanates from 60 year old vines in the north-east region ofthe Barossa. While producing only a megre yield each year, 0.5 - 3 tonnes anacre, these specially selected grapes provide a full concentration offlavour. The close relationship between wine maker and growers has furtherenhanced this range which has a reputation that continues to grow with eachvintage release.Each year, a small parcel of E&E Black Pepper Shiraz is set aside forsecondary fermentation and maturation on yeast lees. This extendedmaturation and disgorgement in the methode champenoise, gives the wine greatcharacter and finesse.
Rich, opaque purple-red colour. Lifted ripe red and black berries, vanillin,spices and pepper on the nose with integrated oak. Firm structure,exceptional length with firm, finegrained tannins and rich mouth feel. Quitecomplex with very well integrated oak.Cellar: 7-12 years.
