The 1996 & 1998 Annie's Lanes were outstanding - the 1997 and 1999 look like only being rated as good quality commercial wines.Excellent crimson mauve colour. Aroma of plum and spice with a touch of vanilla and blackcurrant to the fore, followed by a touch of liquorice, plum and cedar. The palate length is a touch short. Soft easy drinking.
