1998 Yarra Valley Hills Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Yarra Valley Hills is run by former headmaster Terry Hill and his family with Martin Williams as winemaker. Bright pale straw colour. The nose is Graves like with distinctive counterpoints between confectionary and grassy herbaceous aromas followed by a hint of tropical fruit. The palate has good weight with grassy, tropical fruit flavours emerging and supported by a clean, crisp acid finish. Long tropical fruit, unripe gooseberry and grassy aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
