1998 Woodstock Shiraz

A very youthful red filled with the aroma of freshly crushed blackberries. Opaque purple, mauve colour, vibrant with youthfulness. Excellent Shiraz nose, no mistaking the varietal, with blackberry, liquorice and plum aromas heralding a palate that is totally fruit driven. The palate flavours are relatively simple and will take several years to evolve, however, there is plenty of cause for optimism as the fruit is perfectly ripe and supported by fine grained tannins. Velvet smooth finish followed by a long liquorice, plum and blackberry aftertaste. Cellar 8-10 years.
