1998 Wood Park Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz

A very impressive red. Deep crimson colour with mauve edges. Lifted nose of violets, blackcurrant, spice and cedar followed by a whiff of mixed berries, reminiscent of summer pudding. The palate displays good complexity, again with the flavours of mixed berries encasing rich ripe plum, liquorice, spice and cedar. Fine grained tannins, quite dry, followed by long aftertaste of ripe plums, stewed fruits and blackcurrant. Cellar 5-8 years.
