Grape Varieties: Nero d’Avola and Merlot.
Region: The area of Regaleali on the southern island of Sicily.
Vinification: The grapes are hand harvested and placed in a stainless steel tank on the skins for 8-10 days of fermentation. After fermentation in which Malolactic fermentation occurs, the wine is aged in French oak casks for eight months and a further six months in the bottle before release.
Characteristics: Ruby red in colour with a fragrant nose of red fruits and oak spice. The palate is full and long finishing with firm but elegant tannins.
Serve: at 18-20°C
