1998 Tarrawarra Pinot Noir

Notes sourced from Tarrawarra Estate.This is the tenth release of the Tarrawarra Pinot Noir. The 1998 vintage was warm and dry allowing for optimal fruit ripening and flavour development. The fruit was handpicked and sourced from only the best blocks on the Tarrawarra Estate with vines up to 15 years old. The wine was aged in small French barriques for 12 months, 25% being new oak and the balance being one and two year old barriques. The palate displays rich ripe fruit flavours and excellent structure. Long persistent aftertaste. Cellar 5-7 years. 14% alcohol volume.
