Medium weight crimson colour. The nose displays a clear influence of Merlot with its distinctive earthy character supported by blackcurrant, cedar and spice background notes. The palate reflects the nose with flavours of chocolate and blackcurrant extended by the earthy, leather Merlot component. Medium bodied yet without great concentration of flavour, the wine is supported by fine tannins and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Cellar 3-5 years.
