One is filled with admiration for the entire Sevenhill collection - the Jesuit Fathers are indeed blessed with good fortunes with their consistent high quality. The Semillon is possibly the wine that enjoys least profile, being overshadowed by the exceptional reds and aromatic Riesling and full bodied Verdelho, yet it is a wine that easily holds its own. Bright pale straw colour. Pronounced nose of citrus, confectionary and a hint of tropical fruit as the end note. The palate is generous - mouthfilling with dry grassy tropical fruit flavours and impressive length. Crisp acid finish and long citrus, tropical fruit, grassy aftertaste. Cellar 3-5 years.
