1998 Rymill Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker John Innes has produced an exceptional wine. Totally opaque, crimson black colour, with very deep crimson mauve edges. Intense aroma of mocha, coffee, spice, dark chocolate and toasted oak, followed by a ripe plum and blackcurrant end note. Mouthfilling palate with outstanding concentration and depth of flavour. Dark chocolate, mocha, plum and spice flavours fill the mouth and are counterpointed by a faint and very acceptable hint of tea leaf. Fine grained firmish tannins, yet balanced with the ripe fruit flavours. Very long aftertaste of spice, mocha, liquorice and dark chocolate. Cellar 5-8 years.
