Bright pale straw colour. The nose is aromatic and quite distinctive with clear varietal definition. Aromas of lychee, spice and loquots. On the palate there is good weight and mouthfeel, but without the power and persistence that was present in the 1997. Slightly oily on the back palate. Clean finish with long spice, lychee and tea leaf aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
