This is the star of the Pegasus Bay stable - pricey, made by people who understand the variety, and just needing 3-4 years to build complexity in the bottle.Medium bodied, crimson colour with mauve edges. Impressive nose with excellent lift. Aromas of cherry, game, spice and strawberry. The palate is only just beginning to build power, but one can sense that it is happening. Flavours of cherry and earth are well integrated with spicy toasted oak. Fine grained tannins with hints of liquorice emerging on the back palate, with long aftertaste.
