1998 Narkoojee Cabernets

Narkoojee are spending a lot of time soul searching and re evaluating their business plans. A highly motivated, professional Board has been put in place and as long as they stick to the quality end of the market, their future seems assured.This wine has been made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Opaque crimson colour. The nose is very impressive with ripe fruit aromas present in abundance. Aroma of spice, liquorice, blackcurrents, dark chocolate and a hint of anice. The palate structure is tight knit and again displays excellent ripe berry fruit flavours with a faint vegetal trace, but held in check. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance, followed by very long blackcurrant and chocolate aftertaste. Cellar 4-5 years.
