1998 Montrose Poet's Corner Unwooded Chardonnay

Bright deep straw colour, showing signs of early bottle development. The nose has just a faint whiff of herbaceous aromas, but it is overridden by nut, peach and tropical fruit. Full bodied palate with nut and mango flavours evident, good length with a spicy background. The palate is beginning to fill out and the fuller flavours of cantaloupe and tropical fruit appear on the back palate. The acid levels are satisfactory, but beginning to flatten, drink over the next 2-3 years.
