Martindale is a new brand created by the energetic Andrew Garrett. Bright pale straw colour. The wine displays a distinct barrel ferment nose with delicate butterscotch aromas supported by yeast lees, nut, melon and a peach background. The palate is dominated by yeast lees and almond flavours leaving the fruit subdued in the background. The wine has a slightly bitter finish and is followed by a nutty yeast lees aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
