A good commercial wine. Medium body, crimson colour with mauve edges. The nose is a little curious with a slightly medicinal character which also finds its way onto the palate, yet behind this aroma and flavour lingers blackcurrant spice and vanillan oak. Slightly earthy palate flavours with a touch of bitterness on the back palate, firmish tannins, with spicy, stewed fruit, medicinal aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
