A big ripe Barossa Red. Very deep crimson colour, almost opaque. Very Rhone like nose, with classic ‘animal’ aromas, over layers of plum, stewed fruit and raisin cake. Full bodied palate, with abundant ripe fruit flavours over spice, vanilla, blackpepper and earth characteristics, finishing with plums and liquorice on the back palate. Fine grained dry tannins, yet balanced, followed by long liquorice spice black pepper and plum aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
