The colour of this wine is very deep, brick red, which may be in part due to a high pH, and in part due to the fact that the wine spent 3 years maturing in oak casks. Aroma of confectionery, chocolate and spice with hints of cedar and a subtle mulberry end note. The palate displays concentrated flavours of mulberry, spice, some jaminess with hints of blackcurrant and mint. Outstanding length and depth. Fine grained tannins, with aftertaste of strawberry and mulberry jam over confectionery and spice. Cellar 3 - 4 years. (2004 - 2005)
