1998 Henschke Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Bright pale straw colour. Delicate, grassy nose with herbaceous / grassy flavour dominating the palate. Crisp acid, with grassy herbaceous aftertaste. Cellar 1-2 years.

Made from a blend of 83% Sauvignon Blanc and 17% Semillon, the wine has undergone some fermentation in oak. Bright straw colour. Lifted nose with aroma of toast, dry hay, a hint of tropical fruit and just a few floral end notes. Mouthfilling palate flavours, with tropical fruit and spice dominant followed by an underscore of peach and nectarines. Impressive length, displaying the riper end of the flavour spectrum. Clean acid finish, with tropical fruits, spice and hay aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
