A very impressive Semillon, which has been matured in French Nevers oak for a short time, adding considerable complexity to the wine. Deep straw colour, showing signs of early bottle development. Slightly broad nose with good lift, with distinct varietal aromas of lime, toasted honey and lemon finishing with a granny smith end note. Excellent weight and mouthfeel, again slightly broad, and beginning to show some signs of early bottle development. Flavours of cut grass, tropical fruits and toast over a honeyed end palate. Clean crisp acid finish with aftertaste of tropical fruit and honeyed toast. Cellar 4-5 years.
