An inexpensive red that offers an appealling entry into the flavour of Bordeaux reds. Made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Bright crimson, brick red colour. Medium body. The nose has that unmistakable French Red Bordeaux character with notes of truffle, cedar and spice followed by a hint of aniseed and stewed fruit. The palate shows moderate length with flavours of truffle, spice and cedar. Fine grained dry tannins followed by a long aftertaste of truffle and cedar. Cellar 2-3 years. (2004-2005) Alc.Vol. 12%
