This wine is at its peak, or even (depending on the bottle) marginally past it. Very deep crimson, brick red colour. The nose displays an earthy, stewed fruit top note followed by cedar and tobacco. The finish is just holding up on the palate, but showing signs of beginning to dry off. Cedar, cigar box and subtle blackcurrant flavours emerging. Fine grained dry tannins, followed by an aftertaste of cedar and blackcurrant.
