The earthy notes are too dominant in this wine, and we doubt if they will recede. Very deep crimson colour with mauve edges. The nose is very earthy, and dominates the underlying aroma of blackberry and vanilla. The palate has plenty of weight, but does not offer a lot in the way of length or depth. A bit of a chunk! Fine grained firmish tannins, followed by stewed fruit, plum, spice and earth aftertaste. Cellar 4-5 years.
