1998 Elderton Cabernet Sauvignon

No mistaking the generous Barossa flavours of this wine and that distinct yet controlled use of oak. Opaque deep crimson colour. Excellent nose, with aromas of vanilla, liquorice, plum and spice followed by an earthy end note. Mouthfilling palate. Filled with the flavours of plum, liquorice, spice and vanilla finishing with a distinct peppery back palate flavour. Perfect balance, followed by long liquorice allsorts and ripe plum aftertaste. Fine grained tannins. Cellar 4-5 years.
