1998 Chateau Tour de Laroze

Very deep crimson colour with aroma of violets, cedar, confectionary and spice. On the palate the tannins are quite assertive and a touch too dry for Australian tastes. Flavours of stewed fruit, spice and cedar emerge with a delicate peppery background. The dry firm tannin structure persists long into the aftertaste. This is the sort of wine that requires a rare steak to take the focus of the tannins. Cellar 4-5 years. (2006-2007) Alc./Vol.12.5%
