1998 Baddaginnie Run Family Reserve Shiraz

This wine is holding up well, and in many ways resembles the Classic “sweaty saddle” wines from the Hunter Valley in the mid 60’s.
Almost opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue, holding its colour very well! The nose is delightful, layers of plum pudding, prunes, vanilla, liquorice allsorts and chocolate delivering an impressive sniff. The palate is mouthfilling with flavours of confectionary, old leather and spice, Velvet smooth tannins. Old fashioned palate profile. Very long aftertaste of old leather, plum pudding and liquorice.
