Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. This wine ought to be one of the stars of the Yarra Valley, but is bitterly disappointing. Very deep brick red brown colour. The wine is fading rapidly. The nose shows very developed aromas of stewed fruits, earth, spice and leather, with tealeaf endnote. The palate fruit is faulty and heavily overpowered by very dry tannins that linger long into the finish. Aftertaste of prune, stewed fruit and tealeaf.
