This wine has spent 12 months in oak, and consists of a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot. Very deep crimson colour with mauve edge. The nose reveals a touch of earth and confectionery, followed by nuances of violet and mulberry. The palate is generous, with flavours of spice, dark cherries and mulberry over earth and truffle. Excellent balance. Velvet smooth tannins, followed by a long cherry and spice aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
