Notes sourced from Stonier's Winery.

1997 was an outstanding vintage on the Peninsula and Stonier's believe this has resulted in their best Pinot Noir to date. The fruit for this wine was sourced from the wineries two best vineyards - Dexter and Stonier's. The yields were low but the quality outstanding - small berries with excellent concentration and picked at perfect ripeness. The wine was aged in French oak for 15 months with a further 5 months bottle age before release. Deep red colour. On the nose there are aromas of plums, spice and toasty French oak. The palate has excellent concentration with cherry, plum and game flavours. Silky smooth tannin structure with excellent length and depth of flavour. 13.5% Alcohol Volume.
