Opaque crimson mauve colour. On the nose there are aromas of confectionary, cedar and vanilla oak followed by hints of blackcurrant, spice and an earthy end note. The palate flavours are relatively subdued with blackcurrant, liquorice and pepper flavour emerging. Fine grained tannin, good balance, followed by long lingering blackcurrant and spice aftertaste. Cellar 3-5 years.
