Medium body, crimson colour. Excellent nose, almost perfumed, with aromas of tar, violets and raspberries. On the palate the fruit flavours are more subdued, and only really come into force towards the middle and end of the palate. Raspberry, spice, liquorice and tar flavours are supported by firmish tannins and a very long aftertaste of raspberry, liquorice and spice. Cellar 4-5 years.
