The deepest of the three Zinfandel's for colour - crimson, purple colour. Aroma of liquorice with notes of chocolate, tar and an unusual touch of sherbert at the very end. Mouthfilling palate. Classic smack in the mouth Zinfandel, with mouth puckering dry tannins, which temporarily subside to allow an aftertaste of spice, tar and raspberry to emerge before being overtaken again with the very firm, very dry and very persistant tannins. Cellar 5-8 years.
