Region: The Ovello vineyard in the commune of Barbaresco in Piemonte.
Characteristics: Produced from a single vineyard since 1970 and only of a limited quantity. When first produced it was a vibrant full-bodied fruity red that was surprisingly approachable. As it has matured it has become well rounded reaching greater complexity with flavours of coffee, leather, vanilla and stewed prune.
Serve: Room temperature after a delicate decanter
