1997 Parker Coonawarra Estate Terra Rossa Cabernet Sauvignon

An outstanding wine of great persistence which is in part due to the fact that no first growth wine was made in 1997 leaving all the fruit for this wine. The wine was matured in a combination of new French and American oak caks. Opaque brick red colour with ruby edges. Superb aromas of chocolate, spice, ripe plum, cedar and blackcurrant leading into a generous palate. Full bodied with silky mouthfeel, flavours of ripe plums, blackcurrants, chocolate, vanilla and spice. Fine grained velvet smooth tannins with excellent length and aftertaste. Cellar for 5-8 years. Stocks are very limited.
