1997 Mitchelton Classic Release Marsanne

This is a superb example of an aged Marsanne and clear evidence on the virtues of giving this varietal bottle age. Bright brassy gold colour. The nose just leaps out of the glass and fills the room and head. Powerful honeycomb, spice, toast and honey aroma. The palate reflects the nose and is packed with flavour. Honeysuckle, honeycomb, chestnuts, honey and toast are in great abundance. Creamy palate, excellent length with layers of complexity. Soft acid finish followed by exceptionally long aftertaste of chestnuts and honey.
