Opaque brick red crimson colour. Earthy, truffle and blackcurrant nose with a hint of violets. Tightly knit structure, in fact a little too firm for the supporting fruit. Palate flavours of earthy plum and blackcurrants, but lacks depth and drops off sooner than expected. Cellar 3-4 years and observe the result, but don't buy too many!
