1997 Henschke Keyneton Estate Shiraz Cabernet Malbec

An excellent example of the blend, which consists of 65% Shiraz, 25% Cabernet and 10% Malbec. Deep brick red colour with crimson overtones. The nose is quite delightful with an almost floral quality, producing aromas of blackcurrants, spice, violets and a final earthy note. Medium body weight with excellent palate structure for 5-8 years cellaring. Flavours of plum, liquorice and spice followed by a peppery back palate which is quite pronounced. Long, lingering dry tannin structure, excellent balance and finishing with a long plum and blackpepper aftertaste.
