1997 Giaconda Pinot Noir

The 1997 Pinot is a little young at this stage, yet all the component parts are in place and in balance to ensure great bottle development over the next 5-8 years.Deep brick red colour, with a slight tinge (the wine is unfiltered and needs to be carefully handled and or decanted prior to serving). Strong aromas of spice, strawberry/strawberry jam, liquorice, cherry and stewed fruits in the background. The palate displays excellent concentrated flavours with pronounced cherry, stewed fruit, beetroot and spice flavours. Excellent length, fine soft tannins with toasted oak background and long cherry plum aftertaste.
