1997 Clarendon Hills Blewitt Springs Grenache

The finest of the three Grenache's. Opaque crimson colour. The vines are grown on very steep easterly slopes, which have virtually no top soil, and an ironstone, gravel and quartz profile. The aroma is delicate, yet with a delightful degree of power. Ripe raspberry, spice and plum notes fill the nose and continue onto the palate. Voluptuous fruit flavours are enhanced by fine soft grained tannins and long raspberry, liquorice aftertaste. Cellar 4-5 years.
