1997 Chateau Tahbilk Cabernet Sauvignon

Chateau Tahbilk produce consistently reliable wines that can have a great capacity to develop in the bottle. Opaque brick red colour. The nose displays spicy confectionary aromas with violets, blackcurrant and earth notes echoing in the background. The palate is more straightforward and offers a sort of reliability that is very dependable, without necessarily reaching any great heights. On the palate the flavours of ripe plums and stewed fruit are followed by a hint of liquorice and spice with an earthy back palate flavour. Well balanced and supported by fine grained tannins, followed by an aftertaste of plum, spice and earth. Cellar 5-6 years without any fear.
