A classic Mt. Ida with all the expected traits of a Heathcote Shiraz. Opaque crimson purple colour. The nose is filled with aromas of crushed blackberries and spice with hints of leather and liquorice in the background. The palate is layered, starting with flavours of toasted oak, blackberries and spice and moving towards intense blackpepper sensation on the back palate. Excellent weight and blackpepper aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years. Stocks are limited.
