1996 Prentice Nebbiolo

A very interesting style which could easily be dismissed on account of its relatively light brick red to tawny colour, however, the nose and palate more than make up for the presence of vibrant colours.The nose displays aromas of earthy truffles, spice and violets - very appealing. The palate has good length with flavours reminiscent of an aged pinot. Earthy leather, plum and waffle flavours are enhanced by a fine tannin structure and leather truffle aftertaste. Cellar 1 - 2 years.
