Opaque crimson brick red colour. Slightly earthy nose with vanilla and blackcurrant aromas to the fore, with last notes of spice and liquorice. The palate weight and depth of flavour is much lighter than the nose suggests with vanilla, blackcurrant and chocolate being prominent. The palate falls away, but returns to combat some furry tannins. Warm chocolate plum aftertaste. Cellar 3-5 years.
