1996 Leo Buring Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep brick red colour. Aromas of cedar, blackcurrant, liquorice, ripe plum and vanillan oak. An appealing start to the wine. On the palate the pencil shavings character of Cabernet emerges with flavours of blackcurrant and aniseed in the background and finally a touch of dark chocolate at the end. Fine grained, firmish tannins, quite dry and persistent, with long plum, spice, liquorice aftertaste. Cellar 4-5 years.
