1996 Leasingham Bin 56 Cabernet Malbec

This classic blend from Leasingham consists of 85% Cabernet and 15% Malbec. Opaque crimson purple in colour. The nose is very appealing, filled with aromas of spicy vanilla, blackcurrants, violets and plums. The palate is firmish - far too subdued for the volume of aroma coming off the nose. Blackcurrant, liquorice and spice flavours are overwhelmed by the firm tannins which persist long onto the aftertaste. A very youthful, assertive red. Cellar 8 - 10 years
