1995 Wetherall Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a much more finely structured wine than the '94 vintage - elegant is a term, but not to be confused with thin. Bright crimson red colour, with excellent plum spice nose and strong blackcurrant cedar aromas. The palate is finely structured - with plum, blackcurrant and spice flavour carefully positioned against the oak - again elegance is the word. Firmish tannin structure, in balance with plum spice aftertaste. A classy wine - cellar for another 3 - 5 years. If you insist on drinking early, give it a couple of hours breathing.
