Opaque crimson mauve colour. The nose is very impressive, with aromas of ripe plums, spice, violets, blackberry and a hint of earth and leather. The palate displays excellent weight and depth of flavour with leather, plum, spice and liquorice all perfectly integrated with vanilla and oak. Excellent balance, fine grained tannins, firmish but well supported by the fruit. Very long, liquorice, confectionary spice and ripe plum aftertaste. Cellar 5-6 years.
